Your Albanian trip kicks off with a drive from Tirana to Durrës, where you'll spend about two hours checking out the Venetian Tower and Roman Amphitheatre. After that, you'll head inland toward Berat, the UNESCO-listed 'City of a Thousand Windows.' Once you arrive, you'll have time to settle into your hotel and grab dinner before taking an evening walk through the Old Town. The Gorica Bridge is worth crossing, and wandering through the streets gives you a real feel for how the place blends old traditions with current life.

After breakfast, you're heading to Gjirokastër, known as the 'Stone City.' You'll have around two hours to walk the Old Bazaar with its cobbled streets and Ottoman-era houses, then climb up to Gjirokastër Castle for views across the region. Later, you'll drive south to the Blue Eye, a natural spring with striking blue and emerald water that's worth seeing in person. By evening, you'll check into your hotel in Sarandë and have dinner. Before bed, take a stroll along the seaside boulevard to catch the Ionian horizon.

This morning you'll visit Butrint National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with ancient theaters, Roman baths, basilicas, and Venetian fortifications surrounded by greenery. It's a place where 2,500 years of history kind of layer on top of each other. From there, you'll pop over to Ksamil for some free time to swim and relax in turquoise water. Later comes Apollonia, one of ancient Illyria's major cities with columns, porticos, and monasteries set among olive groves. You'll drive back to Tirana for evening check-in and dinner, then explore Skanderbeg Square, The Pyramid, Tirana Castle, and Mother Teresa Square.

Following breakfast, you'll travel to Krujë, the heart of Albanian resistance and history. The castle sits dramatically on the mountainside, and the Skanderbeg Museum inside tells the story of Albania's national hero. The surrounding old bazaar has traditional craftsmanship and local character worth exploring. After you're done there, you'll transfer to Tirana or the airport for your departure.
